This is sooooo much better then her old stuff in my opinion. Not mainly the lyrics but the style and flow and the bouncing harmonies. It’s something mila J would put out.

I LOVE this song!!!! Jhene is a dynamic artist who writes song that are reflective of her life. All her previous work was written during very different times…the disillusionment of having to “selll” oneself to get a record deal, the resolve to give your “soul” in your music despite demands for trendy and popular material, the catharsis of trying to handle the death of a loved one…her albums spoke to each of those moments. Jhene is in a different space, of freedom (particularly sexual freedom) and happiness, which I am enjoying! I rest assured her material will still be introspective, thought provoking, and emotional — but I am glad that she shows that she is more than a one trick pony. She can shine on all subject matter including hoping on a d*** like a maniac lol. Here’s to a new era of Jhene Aiko and to her still putting her soul into the music no matter where she is personally! Good s***!

Not terrible, but nothing spectacular either. This sounds sooooo Mila J, though. I miss the R&B Jhene from back in the day. The one that was 13 years old KILLING IT with the vocals and brandy-like runs. She just refuses to give us any of that nowadays. I wonder why?
