With just days to go before Alicia Keys releases her eighth album ‘HERE,’ the songstress has released a surprise short film.
Christened ‘The Gospel,’ the visual runs for just over 20 minutes and invites the audience to view Alica’s world through her lens.
The project also functions as a vehicle to showcase a meaty portion of ‘HERE’ and includes songs such as ‘She Really Don’t Care,’ ‘Pawn It All,’ and ‘Kill Your Mama.’ Also featured is the track ‘The Gospel,’ which also appears on the LP.
Written and directed by Keys and A.V Rockwell, the film is executive produced by Erika Rose Santoro, Lucy Sumner, and Robin Frank.

Props to Alicia for veering out of the box with this.
One has to wonder whether enough has been done pre its arrival for it to make the buzz needed to truly resonate.
The answer will undoubtedly surface when ‘HERE’ hits stores this Friday (November 4th).
NO SHE CAN KEEP IT. SHES TRYING WHY TO HARD.
Diary. If I ain’t got you. Unthinkable. Lessons Learned. Fallen. She needs to listen to her prior hits and cd cuts and then go back into the lab. Her last 2 cd’s have been Blah.
No one has Tidal!
The singles this era have been wack, but the songs in the short film sound like she’s going back to her roots. Might buy the album.
She has an album coming? What’s this for?
How are we suppose to watch something on tidal if we don’t have it….
Get it genius.
Alicia is this down to earth chill person that can talk to regular folks about love, the chuch, relationships, men and family. Good for her and her respect for life. I hope she brings it in her music.
There has been no buzz for this album. She should easily be selling six figures. But everything has been subdued. Her song with ASAP is great.
Hmmmmn !
it is so unfortunate that the mainstream has NO IDEA that she is even releasing a new album on Friday. an artist of her caliber getting ready to face the same fate as Usher did last month is really sad. these are our royal, R&B artists — in 2016 being unable to sustain their rankings on charts, commercially and amongst the fly by night pop stars. I hate what has happened to the scope of contemporary music and the industry overall.
Don’t nobody have tidal
