As the latest name added to the bill, the Brit bred belter joins previously announced performers John Legend, Metallica, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban.
Nominated five times, the Columbia Records singer is in contention with label-mate Beyonce in several major categories. It’s a reality that has seen many build the entire night’s narrative around their “battle” for Grammy supremacy.
After the gargantuan success of ’25’ and its lead single ‘Hello,’ is Ms. Adkins likely to sweep the board? What’s more, will she redeem herself after a tech glitch threw last year’s showing of ‘All I Ask’ into pitchy disarray?
The answers arrive February 12th when the 2017 Grammys airs live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Congrats to her. But she better not disappoint again cause for being at her prime Adele gave two really underwhelming performances for last years grammys and the oscars in 2013 (when she was soo outsung by Barbra Streisand and Shirley Bassey). Her performance of Rolling in the Deep at the grammys in that respective year was great though. But that song is just so perfect for her voice.
Overall, congrats for her tremendous success.
This is coming from a fan but Adele voice has not been the same since she got surgery. She lacks power in her belting and it comes off shrill and pitchy sometimes.
You don’t complain when Mariah disappoints, you have very intriguing feelings towards Adele, well, at least, you’re not as hard with her as you are to Christina, another amazing singer.

I made it perfectly clear in my comment what I wanted to say. I used the word “prime” for a reason. I don´t think it is necessary to post links of Mariah´s unbelievable vocal showing during her prime, is it? Celine, Whitney and other singers with Adele´s monumental success (I´m only adressing the ones with monumental success) slayed at those same stages at their primes. Skyfall wa sso absolutely underwhelming that night. That´s all (I always thought that song was a little too big for her to sing live. It was an amazing song though. Like I said, kudos to her for everything she does right, which is a lot).

And I also made it perfectly clear that Adele has her own monumental thing going on. I only pointed out that she has been very underwhelming in two occasions when it´s time to perform during a big night. And as other people already said: Mariah doesn´t have anything to do with this conversation cause she passed her prime 20 years ago. She slayed her vocal performances in these shows when she had to.
