Super Bowl: Lady Gaga Promises Career-Spanning Performance

Published: Monday 30th Jan 2017 by Sam

It’s almost time!

Lady Gaga takes over the Super Bowl Halftime stage this Sunday at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

As is customary for headliners, the 30-year-old is keeping mum on the fine details of her performance.

She is, however, opening up about what folk can expect in the broader context of her showing.

Dive below for details…

Talking via telephone to Houston’s Mix 62.5, Gaga revealed that her performance would cover the span of her career.

She was also filled with gratitude for the fans who’ve supported her and plans to slay for them – and the world at large. She said:

“We were [rehearsing] in the tent for about a week and a half, then we had to move to bigger studios in Hollywood where we are working on the rest of the show. And then we will send that equipment to Houston where we will finish rehearsals. Fans can expect a performance that spans my career so far.

I appreciate everyone that has supported me over the years and that still supports my music and my shows. I can’t wait to do a great show for the world!” [Source]

During a separate interview would neither confirm nor deny rumors that she’ll be performing on the roof and that Tony Bennett will feature.

Are you buzzed for Gaga at the ‘Bowl?

    No, thanks.

Agreed. I literally have no interest in this. I’d rather watch Orlando Brown’s S E X tape than this performance.

She don’t care about politics now ?

She better stop hyping herself up….she’s gonna get dragged bad.

How is she hyping herself, by explaining what people can expect from her performance? Sit your A** down before you get dragged

      • SMH January 30, 2017

Um, every SB performer has done this every year. So you can have that seat there before you get dragged for being dumb.

    • JOHNVIDAL January 30, 2017

Hyping? This must be the less hyped Superbowl performance by the ARTIST that is going to perform in it in years (the most hyped by herself probably being Madonna´s).

  3. HailLegendBeysus January 30, 2017

Interesting…. Wonder if she’ll have any kind of political statement with the performance.

  4. The Wig Snatcher January 30, 2017

Career span? That career of hers is not a decade long. But whatever…

    • JOHNVIDAL January 30, 2017

Careers do exist when you don´t have hit singles. It is called being an artist and release music and perform. By your logic Barbra Streisand´s career ended in the 70s…

She better push her first album, kii! That’s all she has.

So 3 years worth of material? Sounds easy enough

    Gaga fever!!!

I don’t understand why Pop stars are doing halftime so early in their careers. What are you gonna do in 15 year when you’re forgotten? I guess they know they don’t have longevity so they have to get it while they can. Gaga knows better than anyone how you can go from HOT to NOT, so I guess i’ll be tuned in

“Started from the TOP now we here”
If it’s anything like Katy’s then she can keep it

  12. JOHNVIDAL January 30, 2017

    She´ll do great as usual.

  13. SMH January 30, 2017

I guarantee every one of the negative commenters in this thread will be perched in front of their TVs for her performance lol.

    • Bey4Real January 30, 2017

Not I. It’s a no on the actual teams playing, and it’s a hell no on this halftime show. I’ll probably catch the funny commercials on Youtube tho.

  14. Likedbymany January 31, 2017

She is great entertainer but I can honestly say I have NOT seen any hype about her upcoming performance. I have a feeling she is gonna f*** it up just because people are counting her out.

  15. King B January 31, 2017

I think she’ll make a political statement. And I can’t wait for it tbh.
