That said I would lighten for instance my elbow. One is really dark and other isn’t. I assume this is from leaning on it but who knows. I think those instances are perfectly fine for use. I just would be too scared with all these rules and such.

Nobody is forcing their beauty ideals and standards on whites, that’s the difference! When black people do it they clearly have some self hate or esteem issues going on.
But wouldn’t the same be said for white people who constantly tan and don’t live in their birth skin tone? That’s how I am saying it could be similar. Sure people go to the extreme but that can said for tanning as well like tan mom remember? I just don’t know why we always assume it’s self hate.

Like I said, no one is pushing their ideals of beauty onto whites. For centuries blacks have been mocked and treated like interiors because of their skin color, hair texture, and facial features. Using chemicals to permantly look more Euro Centric is a form of self hate! The essence of who we are as black people is constantly ignored.

That’s almost the same thing Michael said to Oprah, when asked about his white skin. Not to be controversial but “apples and oranges”, it’s not the same thing, white people likes to tan, (although some tan naturally) but they don’t want to look black, on the other hand, MOST black people who bleach their skin wants to look as white as possible, it’s not just the skin color, they also want Caucasian hair, light colored contacts etc, etc.

At-least she’s unapologetic about it. Unlike others (Michael Jackson, Lil Kim etc..) that lied. She doesn’t like being black, period. Most blacks hate having wide noses, dark skin and nappy hair. How do I know? Because my sister is just like her. She’s told me on many occasions that she wishes she was born with skin like mines or Latino. The self hatred in the black community is real. The only thing that keeps most blacks bleaching, changing their noses & hair etc…etc.. is the MONEY. They simply can’t afford to do it.
