Friday April 14th will deliver DNCE’s latest single ‘Kissing Strangers‘, lifted from their forthcoming album.
Fortunately, fans of the Pop force and their collaborator Nicki Minaj won’t have to wait until then before learning about what the upbeat cut has to offer.
A TGJ exclusive below…
Following the unleashing of their widely successful ‘Cake by the Ocean’, the group seek victory in similar sonic territory with ‘Strangers’.
Just as titillating as ‘Cake’, the cut see Joe Jonas explore the difficulties in finding true love in a world in which the emotion is fleeting and declare that he’ll spend his time ‘Kissing Strangers’ until he finds the one.
Kissing strangers, ’til I find someone I love/ Kissing Strangers, ’til I find someone I trust.
Its hook, which sticks to the formula behind ‘Cake’s glory, comes armed with many an infectious moment and, as it should do, stands as its strongest moment until Minaj arrives with a verse which sees her do more of the same lyrically, but offer one of her best contributions to a Pop cut to date by way of her flow.
I got a lot of sons, I can show you all the sonograms/ Me I’m Jem and these witnesses are holograms.
Our score of the cut? 7/10.
