Breaking: Ariana Grande Gig Evacuated After Explosion Heard

Published: Monday 22nd May 2017 by Sam

In a story that is developing, it’s being reported that Ariana Grande fans are being evacuated from the Manchester Arena.

According to a slew of reports from attendees of the singer’s ‘Dangerous Woman Tour’ in the British city, two loud explosions were heard at the end of the gig tonight.

The Daily Mail asserts that video footage showed people fleeing in tears from the venue.

Concert-goer Evie Brewster Grande had just finished her last song and left the stage when a huge explosion sounded. She added:

“Suddenly everybody started screaming and running for the exit.

We could hear the police and ambulance sirens. It was terrifying.

There were thousands of people trying to get out at once. They were all screaming and crying. The whole place smelt smokey and burnt.

The explosion sounded like it was inside the building somewhere.’

Another witness on Twitter wrote:

“Just ran from an explosion, genuinely thought we were gonna die.”

While another said:

‘Explosion at Manchester Arena, we were evacuated, a LOT of police here.’

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police released the following statement:

“Police responded to reports of an incident at Manchester Arena. Please stay away from the area. More details to follow…”

My thoughts are with the victims families and the concertgoers. I just can’t imagine, you being at the end of show, happy, and a tragedy like this happening.
