One Direction’s Liam Payne Teases Debut Urban Single Featuring Migos

Published: Wednesday 10th May 2017 by Sam

New music from One Direction‘s former members is flying in from all directions.

Next up it’s Liam Payne.

Drawing on his sex appeal, the 23-year-old sent fans into the definition of a frenzy when he uploaded video clip of himself topless bearing a teaser of the track.

Word on the curb is that Payne, who welcomed a son named Bear with British singer Cheryl Cole last month, is joined by Migos on the song and will unwrap it in full later this week.

The clear Urban lean makes for an interesting development in the post-1D narrative. For, while Niall Horan and Harry Styles have embraced Pop and Rock/Pop respectively, Payne’s play sees him bid for the same market share as former band mate Zayn Malik – who too has anchored himself in a more Urban skewed sound.

With both housed under rival labels (Sony/Universal), it should make for a riveting watch as to who comes out atop. As should the collective race between all active 1D vocalists, who are uniquely all releasing within the same window.

Who? Urban? Zayn’s pass to the urban community has been revoked. Girl please. Urban single? you mean pop single with an urban guest.

Speak for yourself Mind of Mine still knockin! That was one creative urban-like album and this is coming from someone who hates one direction! ???

Okay, so this sounds like Justin Bieber, looks like Justin Bieber but is in fact Liam Payne who from the outset sounds like every generic “urban” pop male out there. This could’ve been Austin Mahone, Nick Jones, Justin Bieber or even Justin Timberlake.
another male selling abs with no ass and no distinguishable singing talent.

No I’ll have to stop you at no singing talent because Liam can sing very well but lol at abs with no ass.

I gues we have different views or tastes in singing ability

Migos won’t help you appeal to the urban community. Migos are club artist who barely see commercial chart success. The only songs that people outside the urban community or their audience knows is Versace, Fight Night and Bad. Stop trying so hard and let it our music speak for it self because when it flops people are going to talk about your ass saying you’re trying to “appropriate the culture”.

Ugh Migos starting to go down the same route as Flo-rida and Pit bull by working with these corny artists
