SZA‘s steady ascend has reached its first major milestone – the release of her debut album ‘Ctrl.’
Long-awaited, critics have christened the RCA LP one of R&B’s most notable offerings of the year.
A hearty helping of the soulful, the eclectic, and the arresting, the project features the 26-year-old’s TDE comrades Kendrick Lamar and Isaiah Rashad, as well as Travis Scott and James Fauntleroy.
We’re loving the project thus far and feel it reaffirms SZA as one of music’s most exciting “new” names.
Take ‘Ctrl’ for a spin yourself below…
Seriously..If anyone writes a petty negative comment about this album – They are deluded.
Honestly the best album I have listened too, in YEARS!
She deserves all the success (that I hope will be coming her way!)
I like the album for what it is. I feel there’s a lack of variety though. A good half of the album sounds like a bunch of reprises of the same song. I was with SZA for the first few songs. After Drew Barrymore I was waiting for a new trick and I didn’t see one. It’s a good album. I just think half of the songs are unnecessary.
PROM is pretty much unlike anything i’ve ever heard from her.
Its good, But I haven’t finished the entire album yet, ill reserve judgement, It starts off rocky.. The non singles are hard to get into at first listen.
I Saved 5 Songs On Tidal. The Other Songs Were Ok. 20 Something, Love Galore, Broken Clocks, The Weekend, & Garden Are My Favorite. 20 Somethin’ Is So Beautiful!! It Got Me So Much In My Feelings. I Was Cryin’ Wit
