It’s been a week of woes for Usher.
Prior to now, the singer had been relatively scandal free. A feat in itself given the length of his 20 year career.
However, that all changed when reports hit the wire that he paid $1.1 million to a woman in 2012 after allegedly infecting her with herpes.
Now, another woman has come forward with similar claims about the married star.

According to the suit, filed by a Jane Doe, she and Usher hooked up in Atlanta on April 16 at her home. She says there was some heavy petting, some kissing, and she performed oral sex on him. They eventually had intercourse, and she says he wore a condom.
However, in the docs, she says they had sex again 12 days later — this time in a New Orleans hotel room — and they did not use a condom.
Cut to this month … when Jane Doe says she read news reports about Usher admitting in docs, connected to an earlier legal case, that he has Herpes Simplex 2.
In this new suit, the woman does not say she’s infected. She is concerned because she was “exposed” and says she wouldn’t have had sex with Usher if he’d disclosed he has the virus.
She’s suing “U.R. IV” — Usher Raymond IV — for negligence, battery and emotional distress … and is seeking at least $10 million in damages.
What a mucky, muddy mess.
To make matters worse, Ush is married to Grace Miguel and has been since 2015. As such, if there’s any validity to the claims, it means there’s infidelity involved too. Assuming the couple are still together.

At this junction, he quite literally has to say something and soon. Because silence could well be the undoing of his career more broadly (i.e. beyond the “currentness” of now).

No it isn’t, All the male R&B legends have had scandals in their careers like MJ,R.Kelly,Chris Brown etc and it didn’t stop them from continuing to have commercial success. Usher is no different from them. He’ll still be played on radio,perform at award shows and festivals, appear on talk shows like they did/do. It’ll just be a lil bit of backlash from white people when he does.

What people like you don’t get is that his star power and legacy guarantees his career is not over. He could disappear for 10+ years and come back and tour whenever he wants to. He has the hits and money in his bank accounts to back up his legacy. I don’t get why people assume singers pushing 40 and older would want to compete with new artists. Just like the new singers today Usher’s peak occurred in his 20s. Now he just does gigs when he wants to and it has been that way since 2006 (11 years ago was when his prime ended).

This is a gold digger! She has no case under Georgia law because there are no statues regarding the spreading or exposure of h*****. She has a case under Louisiana law but the law is as following:
A person convicted of the misdemeanor of infection of another with an S** (as defined by Louisiana law) may receive:
a fine of up to $200 for a first offense
a fine of $25 to $400 for a second offense, and
a fine of $50 to $ 500 for each succeeding offense and/or imprisonment for not less than 10 days nor more than six months.
(Louisiana Rev. Stat. Ann. §40:1068.)
I think Usher should fight this or he will face multiple lawsuits from past sexual partners and other gold diggers jumping in on the bandwagon (anyone that has worked with him could jump in on the bandwagon for some money). It is better to let a judge decide the outcome than just coughing up money to someone that may or may not even be infected.

I think you want it to be but its not. You should know better as a CB Fan that controversy can’t keep a great artist down. So if Usher’s protege (Chris Brown) was able to survive countless scandals Usher will be just fine.
