After 8 years+ (approximately 430 consecutive weeks) of back to back placements, that Drake reign has finally let up on the Hot 100.
The rapper/singer/songwriter – whose first entry on the singles chart came in May 2009 thanks to the breakout hit ‘Best I Ever Had’ – had not seen the tally printed one week since then without his name in at least one position…until this week.
Last week, the Canadian emcee had two titles in the lower fifth of the charts (‘Passionfruit’ and ‘Signs’ at #81 and #100 respectively), but both titles vanished from the Hot 100 with this week’s refreshing…
Congratz are certainly in order for his outstanding run. Besides, we’re sure Drizzy isn’t too worried though. With 154 titles to his credit, he still retains the record for “most Hot 100 entries of any solo artist.”
His MUSIC SUCKS!! Aubrey wa so used to being on a list with Tricki Garbagh…✌??
His music is amazing. One of the very best song writers across all genres. He is the total package…great flow, suburb and meaningful lyrics, mainstream appeal.
