Much of America may be looking to the skies today thanks to the solar eclipse, but they – along with the rest of the world – will have their attention firmly on the VMAs stage this Sunday.
Taking place live from The Forum in Los Angeles, the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards promises a variety of memorable moments.
Katy Perry has been tapped to host, while the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Fifth Harmony, The Weekend and Video Vanguard honoree Pink are set to take to the stage.
Now a new list of names have joined the performer line-up.

Per a hot off the presses announcement, Khalid, Post Malone, Gucci Mane, Julia Michaels, and Logic will all be taking to the stage.
Word on the curb is that some will feature in a rising stars segment, while others will perform together with previously confirmed names.
The 2017 MTV VMAs air August 27th.

Gucci Mane probably will perform with Fifth Harmony.
I like the VMA’s, it’s a tradition for me since I was little, but the show is lacking star-power and great moments, I only tuned in last year because of Beyoncé and Rihanna. I will be watching Game of Thrones this year, MTV is crazy to have the show on the same day of the season finale.
But it’s only lacking because there are no stars available. Music is as boring as it wasn’t for a long. Generic music, generic “Starlets”, boring singers
You are not the only one who does not watch the MTV Awards. I’m surprised people even bother sitting through award shows when you can just watch the performances online.
I used to love Award Shows, but now they’re boring af, the only ones I watch now are the Grammy’s, the Oscars and the VMA’s.

they definitely need some JANET to hit the stage and make it finally a real awards show !
If they don’t have Rihanna performing Wild Thoughts or Cardi B performing BODAK Yellow the whole thing is a wash. At leader get Drake. If they think Katy Perry hosting is gonna bring the numbers when she couldn’t even do that for her own album they are sadly mistaken.
