Tamar Braxton seems serious about her retirement declaration.
As reported, the R&B singer has christened new album ‘Bluebird Of Happiness’ her “best and last album.”
Many wondered whether she was being truthful or (smartly) drumming up buzz around the set (which arrives via Tamartian Land Records on September 29th).
But during a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 40-year-old revealed that she is indeed not playing.

Braxton is citing the need to focus on her marriage as the primary reason for her stepping away from the mic. Specifically the pressures attached to working to closely with husband Vince Herbert – who is also her manager.
She explained:
“There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works. There’s a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that.
My husband and I work very close together and it’s really hard, you know? Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy and, you know, we’ve been together forever. He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”

Ultimately, artists are tasked with shifting albums in a climate that sees sales halving already meagre halves. So, what better way to create hype than this? Especially given Ms. Braxton is now independent. It’s smart.

The reason your marriage has stress is because of the BIG debt you owe to songwriters, producers ad infititum and you didn’t make a good return on profits. Why is she even mentioning these things that’s deep to these pee-ons of a gen X. They have no clue where you are going with this; they are over-shadowed by the powers that be on profiting. I hope she let nature takes it’s course; have her family share the love they once had that’s of an importance.

When I heard this was Tamar’s last album, I thought she intended to release only singles and EPs. I guess I was wrong.
Out of all that has been said. I want her to know We will truely miss that very beautiful voice and vocals. No matter whats the real reason when life happens all things will change. I pray that God will continue to cover you and your family.

It’s clear from the first time she got serious about coming back to music that she and Vince were gonna b*** heads a lot cause he can’t separate manager from husband. I actually don’t believe she’s lying but I hate to see a talented woman give up what she loves for the sake of a man, even if it is her husband.
