‘Havana’ is proving itself to be the hit former Fifth Harmony beauty Camila Cabello‘s been praying for.
After a slow start to her solo career with the ill-received promotional single, ‘Crying in the Club,’ Cabello is crying tears of joy after a slew of live performances helped hoist ‘Havana’ – the first official cut from her debut solo album, ‘The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.’ – to the top 20 (which it cracked this week).
Now, thanks to the long-awaited unveiling of its accompanying music video, the song has shot into the top 5 on iTunes charts. Details inside:
The song, by all intents and purposes already a hit, saw consumer interest go into overdrive after the delivery of its music video yesterday. Already amassing over 12 million views in less than 24 hours on VEVO alone, the handsome streams there only accompany the success of its Spotify performance (as seen below).
As if hitting the top 3 on Spotify isn’t not enough, the tune (as of time reported) is also in iTunes Top 3.
With the purchased and streaming figures combined, Cabello could be boosted to the Hot 100’s top 10 when the tally refreshes next week. The move would prove quite the clapback to her former 5H crew after they dissed her at this year’s VMAs.
