The American Music Awards 2017 were held earlier tonight live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
The Tracee Ellis-Ross hosted ceremony had many-a-highlight thanks to jaw-dropping performances from the likes of Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Diana Ross, Pink, and many more, but the biggest star of the show – as expected – remained the awards themselves.

I really wish your generation of listeners and fans would give it a rest with this Beyonce hysteria. LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT TRIBUTES are dedicated to individuals whose careers span 4-5 decades. Beyonce is a great performer, but she is not an ARTIST and has not achieved anything musically that has changed the scope of musicianship, global sound or sonic trends. Beyonce has album sales & countless Grammy awards. Beyonce does not have a pioneering career that has rearranged the ways in which music is listened to, heard or received. She has only changed the day that new albums are released to the mainstream buying public. She is not yet due a lifetime achievement award for accomplishing THAT.
