Mary J. Blige To Produce New FOX Music Drama ‘8 Count’ / Inspired By Life Of Laurieann Gibson

Published: Wednesday 8th Nov 2017 by David

Mary J. Blige is to honour the legendary creative Laurieann Gibson with a TV show she is to produce.

The FOX series is named ‘8 Count’ and is based on Gibson’s life and her journey to the top of the music industry’s creative chain.

From that spot, she built ideas and concepts for the likes of Diddy, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and more and shaped the business with a vision she is now gearing up to bring to life with Mary’s help.

A premiere date is yet to be set.

Want more from Ms. Blige?

Well fret not. The multi-talented star has been hard at work on a new project named ‘Mudbound.’ As reported, it follows the lives of African-American men who return from war to find themselves faced with racism launched at them by the very people they risked their lives to save.

Catch it on Netflix on November 17th.
