As we previously reported here, March 24th brought with it the ‘March For Our Lives’ rally – a demonstration for stricter laws around gun control. Organized by the survivors of last month’s Parkland school shooting, the march – hosted in Washington, D.C. today – not only drew hundreds of thousands to attend, but also spurred several hundred sister protests across the United States and world.
With celebrity contributions (either financially, attendance, or attention) coming from the likes of Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, George Clooney, Oprah and many more, some opted to take to the stage to lend their voices through performance or fiery speeches.
Look inside to see highlights from the day’s event including performances from Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, and Miley Cyrus:
Your thoughts?
I get it.
When unarmed black people are gunned down, there is no celebrity fueled endorsement.
But when white children are, suddenly guns are a problem.
Shame on every black entertainer involved.
Instead of acting like civilians having guns is the only problem, perhaps police departments should not use lethal force. What do they wear kevlar for? What are tasers for?
Why are bodycams allowed to have audio turned off, period?
It is interesting how when white people are involved, suddenly things must change.
Jennifer should go head and do “Unsung” because she’s always doing these type of shows or a BET funded tribute. Its embarrassing.
But she’s worth 20 mill and stays booked. What are you holding in your coin purse, Miss thing??♀️??♀️??♀️??♀️????? ??♀️??♀️I’ll wait.
