Jessie J continues to make jaws drop with show-stopping performances on Chinese show ‘Singer.’

Now in its tenth week, the series – which pits celebrities against one another – saw the British belter take on Celine Dion‘s ‘My Heart Will Go On.’

A gifted vocalist in her own right, Jessie had the tall task of nailing one of the most vocally demanding songs in history’s songbook.

How did she do?

Find out below…

The actual slayage! That was incredible!

Jessie easily stands as one of this generation’s most skilled songbirds.

Just eager for this show to wrap up so she can serve this level of live brilliance with her own material.

    This is UNREHEARSED!

She said she missed out on last weeks performance because she had an episode of severe pain because of her heart condition. Caught an emergency flight back to london for what she described was the longest flight of her life. 5 das later, Doctors said she cant fly back to China. She does anyway and gets there in time to record this.

She said the whole time she was trying not to faint!

    When has your fav ever??

that will not change that fact that she’s a FLOP
and has ZERO impact in the music industry ..
that’s why she’s in china singing COVER songs
      keep trying … bye

What’s your claim to fame? Your comment is completely false and facile.

GIIIIIRL. ARE YOU STILL WASTING YOUR GREAT VOCALS AND TIME ON THIS SHOW BOO?

    • Sweetnothing78 March 17, 2018

there will be a bigger P.R reason than it’s not a show to our liking. The market there is huge for her.
She deserves more success than she’s getting. Between her and Leona Lewis there’s have been so many poor song choices and bad PR and it’s a shame but Jessie’s latest music seems to be slipping away ??‍♂️

Wasting? This show gave her more PR than she had for years. All of her performances went kind of viral. I saw them on blogs, in feeds of friends and so on. Can’t say that of her last singles tbh. This show is the best she could do

I don’t care what anyone says about her you cannot deny she is a natural powerhouse and there are no more left other than Celine Jessie J and Leona Lewis!

I wasn’t a huge fan and my BF wanted to see her live as he loved her so I went to see Jessie in Amsterdam and she was warm, in touch with her audience yet vulnerable to her circumstances however was professional and did not disappoint in any way and left us wanting more!

This performance regardless of what platform showcased on was incredible, just like her.

She is so great with runs power and some other things. However she also does usually too much and gets annoying after a while.
Nobody has been able to come close to Celine, Mariah and Whitney still.

I regret what I said now that I wattched the clip. She actually did too much in THIS occasion too. She is just not on that elvel like I said. For some people (very few) it is effortless, it´s natural. She wouldn´t make it that big not even with teh right song. I´m sorry.

If you are talking about just artists with powerful singing voices then plenty have come close (if not even better) to the artists you name. Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Stephanie Mills, Miki Howard, La India, Milira, Tamia, and my personal favorite Tamela Mann. Tamela could easily sing circles around Whitney, Mariah, and Celine.

      • JOHNVIDAL March 18, 2018

You totally missed the point then. NO, it´s not just about POWER in the voice. That´s why they are in no position to come close to a voice like Whitney´s. That voice had EVERYTHING right. Not only the power. Jessie´s doesn´t have it. Like I said she is great in her own way of course. I mean, we have to appreciate people who can sing like her in this climate of mediocre talent in mainstream. But no, hers is not on that level.

I think vocalists like Tamela Mann, Stephanie Mills, and Aretha had both the power and the technique that Whitney had. I like Whitney a lot but to be honest she had a great run from 1986 throuh 1998. After 98 her voice had already peaked and was on the downward slope due to her smoking. The other women I mentioned kept their voices in shape for a very long time and I take that into consideration when I evaluate things too.

    Look at THAT!!!
WHEN LESS IS MORE AND THE REAL TRUE SLAYAGE UNLEASHES.

This show will and has taught Jessie you don’t need to overly do runs to prove your skills worth.
Place them in the right places but let the soul shine through pure VOCALS.

    WOW AND BRAVA ??????????

F***. This b**** brought me to tears. Seriously, I love her in that show. I could hear her sing those classics all day long, she just slays. I just wish she had better material for herself, cause she deserves to be huge. She needs this classic anthem album that Adele has.

  7. DanYiel Iman March 17, 2018

    She’s a great VOCALIST!!

  8. Francis March 17, 2018

    Chills!

  9. mr.m March 17, 2018

    forced. flop. china-made. bye.

Jessie J, Alexandra Burke, and Leona Lewis are all excellent singers with great techniche. However, they lack soul. That is why their music often sounds generic and try-hard. If they want to make it big in the American market they should worry less about trying to sound soulful and more about just being themselves vocally. The Spice Girls lacked vocal talent all around but were marketable because they represented something different at the time (British girl group with hot songs that do not require vocal talent or soul). I think Jessie J’s best songs are the ones where she has a more pop sound instead of the gimmicky runs.

Like Auntie Quincy says, it’s all about the SONG…who knows how big Jessie could be with the right material…her new songs pale in comparison to masterpieces like My Heart Will Slay On…I don’t know WHO was the artist that made the new generation of artists feel like they had to write the majority of their material, but I’m getting pure tired of mediocre and unfinished songs lol…PASS THE PEN, PENCIL AND PHONE and tell your A&R to get to work! And I’m also tired of seeing songwriting boot camp albums where 30 songwriters come up with 3 minutes and 50 seconds of wackness! Michael Jackson wrote great songs, but some of his best songs were found by sifting through a publishing catalog! Whitney Houston would have been an underrated talent had she sung Ariana, Jessie, Demi, or even Beyonce’s catalog…just saying
