J. Cole Reveals ‘KOD’ Album Cover & Tracklist

Published: Wednesday 18th Apr 2018 by Sam

J. Cole is on the cusp of releasing one of the most hotly anticipated albums of the year – and only announced the set two days ago.

The Hip-Hop titan will unleash LP ‘KOD’ this Friday (April 20th).

Never one to follow the rules, the rapper ditched the traditional roll-out and following the LP’s shock announcement staged surprise back-to-back gigs in New York and London to play the project in full live.

Recording devices were prohibited, as such much about the album remains a mystery.

It is, however, known that Cole confirmed that he recorded the set in two weeks; he stressed that that its recording was seamless – as if God was writing his bars.

As for what ‘KOD’ means, there are apparently three simultaneous translations – ‘Kidz On Drugz,’ ‘King Overdose,’ ‘Kill Our Demonz.’

Prior to its arrival, Cole has revealed its cover (above) and tracklist. Check out the later below…

I haven to listened to J. Cole since his first album but I’m soooo here for this and I know his messages will be heard. He has a loyal fanbase. I haven’t listened to anything migos in a looooong time because every other song was pop a perc, pop a xan, high on this. I have no appreciation for the artists who promote drug use in their song lyrics because this is what our teenagers and young adults are listening to. (Not to say that better parenting isn’t necessary, bad parenting attributes so much to this). It’s so many new rappers coming out of nowhere achieving success meanwhile speaking on gun toting, not to mention all these rappers dying from overdoses and lean withdrawal and those having seizures from drug withdrawal. It’s a big deal and I’m from the hood I see it in my own community. People buying this and that off the street and it’s so “cute” to be high on whatever. God knows I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED with Cardi B when she said “Cardi got your b***** on mòlly”. I love her to death but you have to understand that people hear this and think it’s cute. Some of my friends were doing molly on a regular basics and it really destroys your brain because it interrupts your sleeping patterns. The only thing I can agree on with the president is the opiate abuse initiative and creating more programs for addicts. This stuff is a BIG deal. I don’t know about what goes on with other races and communities but where I’m from, this type of stuff is so cool and even the children are on it. I hate it and I love J. Cole for this.
