I hope Lauryn is well. If so, she just has to admit that she doesn’t like performing those same songs from 1998. This is what happens when you record one mainstream album. I guess she can pull from the Fugees. Even Janet sounded stale at the Global Citizen concert. They have to realize that those songs, albeit classics, are stale outside of their base fans. Gotta do like Madonna and Beyonce, record a new album and then go on tour.
What you wont do is come for Janet and the performance. She did just fine for 52, give the woman the credit of being able to put on a show. Everyone else who performed didn’t even work the stage 25% as well as she did. Beyonce is good at what she does and has the fanbase because they’re still young. Even 20 years after she came out her fans are still under 35. Shes good for another 10-15 years. Madonna is not someone im a fan of but she has an impressive body of work. The difference with Janet is she makes music for the enjoyment and love for her fans. I would like Madonna more if she was more about music over controversies to stay in the public eye to launch a project or be seen as she is much bigger than that and an Icon.
Please, beyonce has been a solo artist for barely 15 years and her songs are already stale, I give her another 3-5 years, thats more realistic than another 10-15 years, especially with her latest album with Jay Z tanking so quickly. Artists like Janet and Madonna don’t have “stale” records because their discographies are filled with over 30 years of timeless classics each.
Now let’s leave Janet out of this. Lauryn Hill is a legend in her own mind and clearly isnt pressed about the business of show. Janet, on the other hand is getting rave reviews for those “stale” classics she’s bringing to the stage on time….

She’s been touring outside of the anniversary so I understand and the reviews from her shows despite a bit late have been great. It’s the lateness that’s a bother smh. Love her still as that album helped people close to me. I’d love if she would create one more album. The anticipation would be great and sure enough gather allot of attention.
I’ve always said too had her MTV Unplugged album been a studio recorded album it would came out beautifully as Miseducation but better. Like it could’ve been a female mordern version of Stevie Wonders Songs In The Key of Life ??

Yes she has postponed the date but has anyone of you 3rd graders think that maybe the venue was only available to a new date on that specific date? Y’all think that they can just book the venue whenever they desire that they can.
Y’all have to check key elements here. Her already exiting dates which maybe won’t allow her to book the venue for a sooner date and on top of it the availability of the venue to have her concerts on specific dates.

Understandable! Maybe she’s not well at the moment and wants to reschedule asap but with other tour dates, prior commitments, a family to raise, venue availability,, etc….there are many factors and we shouldn’t be so quick to judge. Let her live.
