Iggy Azalea seems to be plotting her next move.
The drama-prone femcee has been attempting to battle back to success after a succession of social media spats derailed her career.
And yet for every two steps forward, she’s sadly taken three back.
Indeed, promising singles were quelled by odd roll-outs. Even when properly supported, the masses just didn’t bite into her new music.
Most recently, a planned tour with cupcakKe and Saweetie ended in total cancellation before the first date.
Looking to turn the tide, it appears Iggy-Igz has a plan.
Head below for the full story….
It all started when the rapper wrote the following on social media, all but confirming her break-away from her label Island:

When fans caught on, she didn’t hold back from sharing her current state of mind; one which seems very indie geared…

Yours truly really does feel for Iggy.
It’s as if, even when she’s at her least problematic, she just can’t make headway. No matter how solid the material, no matter how clear the climate.
In any case…
She makes a lot of sense when articulating her argument for the indie route.
Historically, it’s not proven the best fit for every kind of act. But maybe Iggy is on to something.
Commercially, the heights of ‘Fancy’ may not be (as easily) reachable. But there’s no reason she can’t make dollar with self-serviced singles and touring for those who want to see her.
Well whatever works for her, hopefully she gets all that she wants!!
She is self-absorbed and only a 2 hit wonder.
She has two number 2 singles, a number 1 and a top ten
I’m here for it cause since Team this girl has been releasing consistent bops after bops and both labels expected them to be hits without proper promotion….I think with the right team she can slay independently but I hope she knows she gotta work ten times harder than before to get the success ??♂️
It’s radio & the industry that’s with the crap when it comes to Iggy…. She makes good records for radio….
I said it before. She will always get my coins. I music and visual are always on point. IMO her music is better than Cardi B.
She is indeed correct nowadays. If u have the money just stay independent get a good manager withthe right connects for shows n hire a team do it independently. Records are not selling like before. people do change jobs every 6-12months so its down to you and your manager and you’re team to make money and make it happen thats why so many black artitsts are excelling coz they already always had that hustler mentality like QC Coack , n QP drake all them afro beats folks u can’t rely on the machine. its not wise.
I think this is the right way to go for her. The key, however, is going to be making sure she finds the right material to blow up. Whether or not you have a label behind you, people have to like the songs. In today’s market, money only makes a marginal difference, especially when you are already a name.
Rooting for her! ?
I’m not a fan and she acted ridiculous throughout her days of fame, but I do somewhat admire that she doesn’t give up even when she consistently flops. She reminds me a little bit of Ciara in that way.
