Rap star French Montana unwrapped quite the backlash after his TMZ-captured statement regarding R. Kelly suggested he was defending the embattled R&B singer’s amid allegations of sexual abuse.
Like we reported here, French – born Karim Kharbouch – seemingly downplayed the serious accusations against the ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ creator when he said:
“Whatever happened…happened. They [people] don’t let nobody have their legendary moments.”
As detractors flew to Kharbouch’s social media handles in droves to slam his flippant response to the issue, he issued a statement hoping to clarify his stance:
Isn’t that always the best way to make sure your funding doesn’t stop with the people who are against r***** and sexual abusers like R.Pedophilia?!??♂️
He ain’t backtrack. He said everything I would say. People on here attacking me for not cosign in their opinion. I ain’t never say my heart is not with real vitims. Yall bring me a real underage accuser and best believe my opinion will be jail R. Kelly but until then let this legendary rnb man continue being the ‘R&B Thug’ we know him to be. To he’ll with adult b|the who chase after the Pied Piper and cry wold cause you ain’t getting no pipe or money anymore. B|tch you KNEW who R. Kelly is and what he was about before you chased after him.
He is booking shows in the UK and Germany for his world tour this year and has a new album coming out.! I’m excited for the new album.
Oh shut up you slag
U shut up you SCUM
Again…. i think he only said what MANY OTHERS are thinking but just can’t or won’t say it because they feel obligated to speak/stand up.
Sorry, that still doesn’t work. All his publicist did was lump R.Kelly in with other troubled celebrities to lessen the severity of Kelly’s repeated predatory actions on children and teens.
