Little Mix, in many ways, have remixed the “girl band” narrative.
Having won The X Factor in 2011, the Pop quad have amassed eight-years of non-stop success – seemingly growing more potent by the project.
Their trajectory deviates from the tried and true story of such collectives, which – by now – would have seen the ladies dabble in solo careers, reality shows, and indefinite hiatuses. None of which has been the case.
With 2019 underway and latest album ‘LM5’ still in promo cycle, the Little Mix have their eyes on cementing themselves Stateside.

Having dramatically split from Simon Cowell’s Syco label on the cusp of their LP’s release, the girls seem more energised than ever to make a mark in America. A region they’ve dipped their toes in, but rarely dedicated time to. [Something fans have long suspected was a result of their Stateside counterparts (Fifth Harmony) being signed to the same imprint.]
Speaking in a recent interview with The Guardian, member Jesy Nelson said:
“That’s our main aim: we really want to crack America. We’re willing to put the work in.”
For now though, they’re revelling in homegrown wins.
As reported, the group received two nominations at the 2019 BRIT Awards. In celebration of the honour, they were on-hand at last night’s nominations special to perform newest single ‘Think About Us.’

Great performance, with strong vocal moments from each member.
As for their US chances, we wish them the best.
In today’s oh-so-global marketplace, they definitely posses the potential to expand their reach. Especially as they’re already somewhat known on American shores.
We say strategic collaborations and an onslaught of US promo is the way to go. With this project and the next, the latter of which ought to come sooner rather than later.
