New Video: Ariana Grande – ‘7 Rings’

Published: Friday 18th Jan 2019 by Rashad

It’s finally here!

After weeks of teasing,  Ariana Grande‘s unveiled the accompanying visual to ‘7 Rings.’  The latest cut from her yet-titled fifth album to receive the video treatment, ‘Rings’ comes as quite the worthy follow-up to 2018 megahit, ‘thank u, next,’ and ‘Imagine.’

Inspired by a real life shopping trip that saw Grande take her friends to Tiffany & Co., the bevy of bling featured in the Trap-inspired clip shows they definitely didn’t leave the store empty-handed.

What are you waiting for?  The action awaits inside:

While we’d be lying if we said Ari’s vocal stylings – when rapped or sung – sounded the least bit convincing over this braggadocious Trap track, we’d also be lying if we said we gave a damn.

Traipsing the lines between Pop and Urban as she’s done with so many songs before it, ‘7 Rings’ is absolutely everything we’ve come to expect from the songstress (in a good way)!  Drenched in replay value and radio friendliness, from where we stand the cut could easily find itself atop charts as Grande’s second #1 single.

It’s clear that her last album, just released in August 2018, was the calm before the storm as what we’ve heard to date from its follow-up opus is everything we wish ‘Sweetener’ was.

Boring. This girliterally just came out with an album in The summer. Talk about generic, non meaningful music. Good voice, basic of basic catalogue.

    • Ughhh January 18, 2019

I can’t stand the girl but this is a bop

  2. Whoops ?????‍♀️ January 18, 2019

What kind of basic… She hyped up this?? The song is trash. She keeps trying to bandwagon onto the trap wave but this sound just does not suit her. And I don’t know why she likes to broadcast the fact that she writes these middle school head ass lyrics. Like sis… we can tell you wrote it. I want it, I got it. Twist it twist it and mix it. Thank u next. Picking it up, picking it up. She writes like a 12 year old. Dangerous Woman and Yours Truly were not like that. She’s getting more basic as the time goes on.

Okay bîtch… I wasn’t ready. I honestly came in rolling my eyes. Okay bîtch I under estimated you

    Thank you NEXT!!??‍♂️

  6. Seth January 18, 2019

Her style is AWFUL and these last 3 singles have been mediocre…Breathin was 10x a better song than Thank U Next, Imagine or this and it’s horrible video

Why is no one screaming culture vulture as they did with Miley Cyrus?
There is nothing original with this previously (better) used sample and what is basically a female hip hop video with her in the place of the artist. This could’ve been Mariah Lynn and i would’ve had more respect
    It’s not even well done

    • Whoops ?????‍♀️ January 18, 2019

“With her in place of the artist” lmao the tea, the shade. It’s because these kids are delusional. You see her dumb stans talking about how shook Nicki and Cardi are?? They don’t think she’s a culture culture because they really think Ariana is inventing this stuff, when really everything she does, from her music sound to her music videos to her live performances, is very heavily “inspired” by someone or something else.

  8. Lol January 18, 2019

It’s wack. It’s boring and this is definitely NOT her next number one single. This is garbage.

  9. Himbella Vandershe January 18, 2019

It’s very beyonce inspired, VERY. This will not be a hit single past a week.

    • Meme January 18, 2019

      I thought the same.

    • Lanafan1 January 18, 2019

      Yup, I too thought that.

No no and HELL NO… this sounds like Beyoncé Rihanna Kelly Rowland left over track… and bc she’s Ariana ppl will eat it tf up. It’s difficult to understand her when she’s singing so why the hell would she try and rap… she’s just trend riding at this point. Not being creative nor taking risks. WHAT IS HER SOUND??

Hmmmmm I stan for Ari but REDUCTIVE MUCH? It was a whole load of nothing ? And has she been taking cues from Nikki with this on all fours, open mouth, staring into the middle distance staccato vocal delivery or nah?

Seems like she’s on the experimentation wagon, this is a no for me. Far too generic and lacking in substance. Next single please.

  12. Jackx January 18, 2019

Like the video, hate the song it just comes off trying to hard. You’re better than this ari. I perfer breathin over this all day

  13. Meme January 18, 2019

I think some of y’all take music too seriously. She’s young, there’s nothing wrong with making fun non serious music. This was a pleasant switch up.

    • I can’t January 18, 2019

Nah the song is just wack. There’s nothing wrong with fun non serious music but this song is garbage and it’s not even catchy garbage. Beyonce’s 7/11 for example was a fun non serious track but it did great in the clubs and made people dance. This song will absolutely flop. For one, Ariana cannot pull this off. People here would probably be more receptive of this if it sounded more natural and genuine. But Ariana’s take on trap sounds so inauthentic, like she’s just trend hopping like others said. And two, the song is just not good. If you’re gonna make a bad song at least make it catchy enough to be a hit, otherwise you made trash for nothing.

And it’s not really a switch up. It’s not like Ariana usually delivers powerful, beautiful, lyrically complex songs. She doesn’t. This is really her norm.

@I can’t… Put into words perfectly

      • Adele January 18, 2019

Damn I can’t you took the words out of my mouth. This song is so fake and phony like I don’t take this s*** seriously coming from her and the song sucks too.

      • Meme January 18, 2019

Lol I’m screaming. Well dang you gathered Ariana.

  14. Haterz Gon‘ Hate January 18, 2019

It will be a close tie to see which track is worse, this, or The Light Is Coming. Not fun, not clever, just NO.

  15. Keith January 18, 2019

She should watch and listen to this and be disappointed. And I like her, but this just comes across as forced. Im also mad Allison Claire didnt get more screen time in the video. She’s only in the wide external shots?

  16. Fancy BISH January 18, 2019

    Nope lol

  17. thanosoftitan January 18, 2019

All that momentum from ‘thank u, next’ is out the window. Very poor effort on her part.
