Police have identified two people they believe may be tied to the Jussie Smollett attack.

These individuals are not yet suspects but were in (the) area of concern and are being questioned. The investigation continues.The people of interest are alleged to be in the area where a crime was reported. They are not considered suspects at this time as they are currently being questioned by detectives.
This statement was released by Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi shortly after Smollett condemned critics who claimed he invented the harrowing story.
