Chart Check [Hot 100]: Cardi B’s ‘I Like It’ Certified 6X Platinum

Published: Wednesday 6th Mar 2019 by Rashad

While her latest hit single, ‘Please Me,’ continues to please music lovers for its ode to 90’s slow jams, rapstress Cardi B will be pleased to learn her last #1 single (as a leading act) has crossed the 6x platinum threshold!

Details inside:

‘Like,’ released May 2018, is still hanging in the top 40 nearly a year after its release.  Coming in at #39 on this week’s Lady Gaga-led Hot 100, the tune is one of six entries Cardi has in the tally’s current top 50 alone.  Now, after helping her make history by becoming the first and only female rapper to nab two Hot 100 chart-toppers, the song is well over halfway to Diamond certification on the Hot 100! Congratz are due to the Trap Selena, J. Balvin, and Bad Bunny for the colossal hit.  Look below to see who joins them in the top 40 on this week’s edition of ‘TGJ Chart Check.’

It’s a great record actually, however this site it’s bias as always. When Rihanna went 2x Platinum with streams y’all are made and trash her but when Cardi did…oh what a milestone!!! F*ck outta here.
