As if we didn’t lose count of the plethora of Hot 100 records broken by Drake in 2017 and 2018 (see: most time at #1 in a calendar year, most career Hot 100 hits of any solo act ever, most simultaneous Hot 100 hits, most #1 hits among rappers, etc.), it looks like he doesn’t have any plans of slowing down in 2019.
His latest chart triumph comes courtesy of Travis Scott‘s 2018 megahit, ‘Sicko Mode’ (on which the Torontoian hitmaker features). Despite debuting in the top 5 in August 2018, the song has not once dropped out of the top 10. Coming in at #10 this week, the extended stay brought with it a new chart championship.

Capping the Hot 100’s top 10, Travis Scott‘s former No. 1 “Sicko Mode” holds at No. 10 as it spends its 31st week (encompassing its entire run on the chart) in the top 10, the most ever for a hip-hop hit. Only four songs overall have tallied more time in the top 10:

I think I’m getting old…. but I remember when I used to get excited to see the songs in the top 10. With the new chart rules there isn’t any rhyme or reason for the songs to be in the top 10. Seems like it’s all about biggest debut and biggest fall.

I don´t undertand how radio has not played Shallow. The song has it ll and is kind of short. It´s a disgrace that the only REAL HIT of the last 6 ,onths has been #1 on Hot 100 for only a week but then there are tons of forgettable songs leaving NO MARK whatsoever spending weeks and weeks only because of streaming from kids and teens.
