Khalid goes from strength to strength. For years, one of the biggest criticisms of Pop’s fellas is that their material swam in vacuous one dimensional territory. ‘Self’, like much of K’s earlier releases, sees paint a picture lyrics which are beautifully honest, a voice that is in rich in texture, and production which adds even more variety to his layered discography. Magical.
