What’s not expected is that at the same period in Janets life Janets album was a Grammy winning 7 times platinum, had 2 number 1 records with the first ever single to reach pop, urban and rhythmic formats EVER IN HISTORY….. not to mention being Mtvs first ever MTV icon being tributes by… Beyonce ???? that album sold more than Beyoncé’s last 3 albums combined hun- and it had a world tour ?. beYAWNce has not album in her catalog that out ranks or has outsold Janets’ Control Rhythm Nation, Velvet Rope and Janet cd. Neither has GRANDMAdonna. Neither GRANDMAdonna, or COPYonce has a catalog as extensive as Janets. Neither of them has stage presence like Janet. COPYonce had to have a group to launch her solo career and even as a solo artist, she latched onto Gay-Z to help her career. GRANDMadonna has used every shock tactic she can to stay relevant. COPYonce has faked pregnancies, faked divorce, faked marriage, staged elevator fights to keep herself relevant. Janet has not had to do any of that. Janet even kept her pregnancy low-key and still does not use her child to stay relevant. If you talk about the blue print who started it all, who’s everyone’s go to artist, what artist has inspired, dance, inspired, a look, fashion, inspired braids, who has a cult movie and who has the Biggest selling family member (MJ and The Jackson 5), JANET DA MITA JO JACKSON name comes up, not GRANDMAdonna, and not FAKEonce…and to add to that Janet has never had to inflate her records and concert ticket sales, I know for sure COPYonce has and Janet has never had to latch onto a rapper to keep herself relevant, FARTonce has. GRANDMAdonna has adopted children from Africa just to keep herself relevant and in the news. Not Janet. Janet is the only female artist who can go away for two years, three years, seven years as she did and still come back and kill the game. You say GRANDMAdonna kills the game, lets see if she can dance for 2 1/2 hours onstage like Janet…she can’t, because she’s being transported back and forth across the stage by half naked men in leather. As for FRAUDonce, all she does is twerk and pretend like she’s Nicki Minaj or Cardi B – What is she a rapper now (lol). She can’t even do a straight choreography without messing up, so there is no way she can do an intricate choreography like Janet and kill it, like Janet. So you need to SHUT IT.

“All For You” only sold 3.1 million albums according to Soundscan. It did not outsell every Beyonce album, let alone every one combined.
Overall Janet has sold way more records but you can’t directly compare their album sales because they peaked in very different sales climates, the 80’s and 90’s were the peak of album sales, while Bee’s entire solo career has been in the illegal downloading/streaming era.
Beyonce’s tour grosses are on a totally different level than Janet’s even if you compare them both in their respective peaks in that area. The “All For You” tour grossed $48 million, the Formation tour grossed $256 million (OTR 2 did $254 million)., Bee has all 3 of the top 3 highest grossing tours by any African American artist.
Janet did a single tour, not a joint tour dummy. Plus Gay-Z and FLEAonce was giving away tickets in the parking lot to fill seat. Not to mention they inflated ticket sales on all of their tours and her solo tour. Janet is doing damn good considering she has close to a billion anyway, as a solo artist. Plus what does WHOREonce have to do with Janet, Janet is still a better performer even in her 50’s.

OTR 2 was U.S. and Europe only it was not worldwide. Beyonce’s last tour without Jay-Z actually grossed slightly more than when they toured together.
The Formation Tour had 49 shows total and grossed $256 million, OTR 2 had 48 shows and grossed $253.5 million.
Janet’s Unbreakable tour had 37 shows total and grossed $44 million.

Inflated numbers. Plus with all of the stage props and bells and whistles, GRANDMAdonna might have made 120 Million, but how much did she actually take home after paying for all of the stage props. Janet had minimum stage props, just a back drop and still came out making 44 Million, deduct 1.5 Million for her road crew, dancers, sound, insurance etc. and Janet still wins. Take home for the tour 40 Million tops.

The state of the world tour was amazing. The set list was perfect for 2017-18 with all of the social injustice going on
Saw 5 shows and Panorama. Happy to hear that there was a decent gross. Hope that this will convince backers to spend more on production values going forward. I wish her international fans beyond Japan couldve enjoyed the show. Deep cuts, b-sides and hits, no fan left a performance unsatisfied. Plus she has the tightest group of dancers since the Janet era. Got my tickets for Vegas!!!!
