According to TMZ, the superstar singer “has been distraught over her dad’s illness” which is said to be serious and not getting better.
As reported, the performer cancelled her Las Vegas residency ‘Domination’ and announced an “indefinite hiatus” from professional endeavours due to her dad Jamie’s condition.
It’s widely known the Spears patriarch took control of his daughter’s financial affairs in 2008 due to the singer’s alleged reported struggles with mental health.

She hasn’t been well since after the 2007 breakdown and performances haven’t been on point since around 2005. All the sh*t Mariah and Christina etc get for having voices that change aren’t even comparable to Britney’s slide from ok performer to drag queen imitation of an ok performer. She’s had plenty of bops they label selected for her since 2007 but she’s missing the spark that made her famous and looks dead in the eyes when she’s on stage not to mention stiff as a board and a 60 year old Madonna and 52 year old Janet can dance circles around her. Hope she takes a LONG break to focus on herself and getting well

He is entitled to his opinion just like you are. As a Britney fan, I can say his comment is not that bad and there is some truth to it. One’s eyes indeed depict some of what is going on and there certainly has been a deadness and unhappiness in her eyes since 2007. Where is comment is wrong is stating she is not involved with the making of her songs because she very much is involved and co-writes many of her songs.
