I’m supporting this era for sure. + plus I heard from credible sources that this album will be one to compete with. People who have heard it are already giving it Grammy buzz and it hasn’t even dropped yet.

It’s about timing. Not all artists reach their peak early in the careers. I mean, look at Tina Turner. She was 45 when her album Private Dancer first came out in 84. That album solidified her legendary status. Fantasia is gonna be one of those artists. She was 19 when she won American Idol and she is 34. And also, artists who reach their peak early tend to burnout faster. People say Fantasia is underrated. I don’t think so. Fantasia had a nice steady career. A few hits here and there, but nothing major as of yet. Her albums always debut in the top ten on the Billboard Top 200 chart. She have done Broadway. Her breakthrough is coming. Fantasia has nothing holding her back. She is independent now. She can now create with no limitations and have control of what she does. In a way, Fantasia’s career reminds me of the career of the late great Phyllis Hyman. I love this space that she is in. She seems more happier and free compared to the years when she was going through drama with her family and her label and relationships.
