Nipsey Hussle’s Music Storms Itunes / Sales Surge Over 2,700% After Death

As the music industry continues to reel from news of the death of rapper Nipsey Hussle (as we reported here), new and longtime fans are turning to the late 33-year-old’s music to cope.

Less than 24 hours after the ‘Racks in the Middle’ maestro’s murder, several entries from his prized discography stormed digital sales charts.  In addition to occupying 5 rungs on the real time Itunes Rap charts (as of time reported), his first and only studio album – 2018’s ‘Victory Lap’ – is running its own victory lap atop Itunes Album Sales charts (all genres).

The stats above coincide with a recent Billboard news story that reports:

On Sunday, Nipsey’s catalog of songs and albums sold a combined 15,000 copies — up 2,776 percent compared to a little under 1,000 on Saturday. Isolating just his songs, they sold 13,000 downloads on Sunday (up 2,588 percent compared to less than 1,000 on Saturday). His albums sold nearly 2,000 copies on Sunday (a rise of 6,412 percent from a negligible sum).

Debuting at #4 on the album charts February of last year, the numbers above – in conjunction with reignited streaming figures – could see ‘Victory Lap’ re-enter the Billboard 200’s top 5 upon its refreshing next week.

This normally happens when artists die. So why is this news.

Nipsey hussle was a gang affiliate and homophobe. Prior to him being shot he was bragging about having enemies.

    This was bound to happen.

      THANK YOU!! Someone gets it.
This isn’t anything special & he is not worthy of the praise or attention that his homophobic ass is receiving!

He hates gay people. He isn’t a good rapper also. African Americans always looking up to illiterate rappers as role models. No wonder the black community isn’t moving forward.

      It’s sad & very pathetic.

How do you know he hates gays?

IS THERE PROOF OF THIS? I WOULD LIKE TO SEE.
