Adele is in a reflective mood as she celebrates her 31st birthday.

The singer is hard at work on her fourth studio album, but is dually juggling that process with divorce proceedings after announcing her split from husband  Simon Konecki.

While taking a tasteful approach to addressing her predicament, she has shared an emotional message about the past year – one she says “tried” her hard.

She also opened up about her plans for chapter 31.
