In a three year ordeal, the singer’s future hung in the balance after being accused of sexually assaulting a female fan after a solo performance in Wolverhampton.
While Williams has admitted to engaging in intercourse with the woman (who cannot be named for legal reasons), he’s long maintained his innocence – stressing that their 2016 encounter was consensual.
As part of his defence during the 9-day trial, he also opened up about how their meet ended embarrassingly after alcohol left him unable to perform.
Williams’ tour manager Jamien Nagadhana was cleared of assault. He told the court he attempted to join the pair, but the entire episode was a non-starter and fizzled. Hence he left.
Both were acquitted after a jury deliberated for two hours.
