Young Thug Says Lil Nas X “Probably Shouldn’t Have” Come Out

Published: Wednesday 17th Jul 2019 by Sam

While many showered Lil Nas X with praise after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ community, rapper Young Thug has an alternate take.

His words below…

Speaking on the No Jumper podcast, Thug- who rocked a dress a’front of his 2016 album ‘Jeffrey’ and is renown for toying with gender identity – said:

“I feel like he probably shouldn’t have told the world, because these days—motherf*ckers is just all judgement. He’s young and backlash can come behind anything. It wasn’t a bad idea and it was most definitely the best time to do it, during Pride. That was a G’s move.”

The star, who currently appears on a remix to ‘Old Town Road’ with Lil Nas, went on to add:

“It ain’t even about the music no more. Soon as [‘Old Town Road’] comes on everybody’s like, ‘This gay ass n*gga.’ N*ggas don’t even care to listen to the song no more.”

Over to y’all. What are…

Your thoughts?

Where’s the vlog about Beyonce copying Taylor swift yellow dress while doing the same pose in the wildest dreams video (1.04)

    • Bey Best July 17, 2019

Todrick Hall probably choreographed that as an apology to Beyoncé for giving Taylor Beyoncé-recycled fashion and choreography.

      • Haterz Gon‘ Hate July 17, 2019

Yes, let’s not pretend Taylor didn’t all of a sudden decide that ‘legs day’ and wearing a unitard was in fashion all by herself – she was was gradually styled to parody the Queen when really she’s just a maid who’s talent is in her Pen, not her strength as an all round entertainer who owns her masters or as a vocalist, dancer or actress. Todrick knows who the real Queen is and it ain’t Taylor ?

      • Shayla Queen July 17, 2019

Yet Taylor outsells Beyoncé every. single. time. Tidal fake streams to boost Beyoncé’s sales and chart positions.

      • MessyBoots July 17, 2019

@Haterz I love pop music and Tay has a strong catalogue that I immensely enjoy. But you’re correct.. aside from her pen game Tay is HEAVILY lacking in direction, image, and sound.

Tod and Tay did in fact become good friends/co-collaborators over the last few years. Her onstage attire circa during the 1989 era was unquestionably Beyonce inspired. He has undoubtedly heavily inspired her from 1989 through You Need To Calm Down…but no Tay fan should get their pant I e s in a bunch over it either.

Tay LOVES Bey and looks up to her. She has said it publicly many times over. Remember when in 2009, Kanye drunk on Hennessy snatched her award and basically gave birth to her infamous victim persona?! And then Bey coming to win Video of the Year squashing the drama giving Tay “her MOMENT” (a Generous Queen per usual lol)

Anyway, Tay outsells Bey… sure. But you better believe she *bows down accordingly* in public AND in private. ?

Hey Shayla Queen! Taylor may sell more in her first week than Bey ever has, their solo album sales are about the same! Also, Tay sells a lot in her first week because she always has to perpetuate some drama to make somebody else look bad to once again make her look like the real victim. It’s that victim card and add that to pity sales! Most of her fans are because of the lies and manipulations so she can get ahead!

    Homophobic muthafukkaz

  3. truthtea July 17, 2019

Mad because a openly gay Black got the #1 song in the US right now!

    • Moti25 July 17, 2019

Yeah “openly gay” AFTER the fact! I’m so tired of these labels and artist pulling stunts for attention and sales. So sad

  4. Clarkson July 17, 2019

He did the right thing. People (nasty nicki minaj fans) were threatening to out him so it’s better he came out on his own terms. It’s a boss move. Now he is the first gay artist to have a song stay at the number 1 spot for 15 weeks.

This song is going to stay at number one for 20 weeks watch and see.

    • Bey Best July 17, 2019

Elton John is the first openly gay artist to have a Billboard Hot 100 #1single with “Candle In The Wind” in 1997. Lil’ Nas X is the first gay rapper to reach that feat.

      • truthtea July 17, 2019

        Give us facts baby!

      • Clarkson July 17, 2019

        Reading is fundamental
I said first gay artist to have a number 1 song stay number 1 for 15 weeks.

I didnt say first gay artist to have a number 1

U are very unintelligent and crude.mr know it all. Now see how u have disgraced ur self. Dummy

  5. MessyBoots July 17, 2019

Nas X has made Billboard chart history in less than 6 months.

Young Thug has been around since 2011.. and in 8 years has not broken any records on Billboard or any other chart. He is a faceless, wack unoriginal Atlanta trap rapper who is best known in the media for wearing dresses to generate shock value. The f****** irony of it all.

    • Faf July 17, 2019

He still has a Grammy and #1 tho

      And he didn’t lie

  6. Jasmine July 17, 2019

He’s right. His career will flip once thus saint falls off

    • Haterz Gon‘ Hate July 17, 2019

Yet even if he never releases anything else (which is not the case btw) he will still see more royalties in 12 months of his lifetime than your entire income for the rest of your life so what’s really up? ??????

      • Faf July 17, 2019

It doesn’t matter would i rather sell 10mil off one song or a million off an album every time i drop and constantly dominate the charts . By your same logic Carly Rae Jesper isbstill that b****

    • Jasmine July 17, 2019

Why is this f.aggot troll pretending to be me? I never read nor comment on articles about ugly dark complexioned rappers yet this heshe thing is commenting under a fake ‘Jasmine’ account! If u got something to say man the f.uck up and say it under ur own username f.ag!

      • Shayla Queen July 18, 2019

        TRASH!

  7. Sam July 17, 2019

hes right though, hes not being hateful in anyway. He just knows how the industry is… and its true, as soon as straight men find out youre gay and your song comes on, they skip it. More to do with people generally than anything. He just knows the business and how things work.. look at everyone else who came out, wheres their career now?

    • Holliewuudd July 17, 2019

      FACTS, Sam

    • Shayla Queen July 17, 2019

Not ALL straight men! Most straight men aren’t even aware of the celeb gossip that circulates. And most straight men these days don’t give a damn. Homophobia is a lot more prevalent in the black community than it is anywhere else.

    • S.U.P.E.R.S.T.A.R.!. July 17, 2019

@Sam – I agree. I wish he would have waited. He could have just lived his life and NOT addressed it publicly.

  8. LUCKI July 17, 2019

I don’t think anyone expects Lil Nas X to be around for long anyway. He might as well live in his truth for 15 minutes.

    • Ropeburn July 17, 2019

      Exactly!

  9. Holliewuudd July 17, 2019

He basically took the words out of my mouth. It’s what I’ve said all along. Lil Nas changed his narrative from music to his sexuality. Only time will tell how that works for him. I think he’s super talented and I’ll still support. I just DON’T get why people feel the need to divulge that…and probably won’t ever get it…but not my business what other people want to do. I just know that as a gay man, for me, it’s never been a requirement.

    • Shayla Queen July 17, 2019

Except you now, yourself, just divulged it.

      • Holliewuudd July 17, 2019

To a bunch of strangers who have absolutely no clue who I am.

  10. Caleb July 17, 2019

Thugger is speaking from personal experience

  11. Ropeburn July 17, 2019

Well, seeing as the song just racked up its 15th week at no.1 there must be plenty of negroes who still wanna listen to it.
