Teyana Taylor is keeping to her promise of delivering new music fresh from wrapping ‘KTSE’ album cycle.
Case in point the newly unleashed ‘HYWI?’
The release sees the multi-hyphenate star salute the Bad Boy legacy in more ways than one; because not only does the track – an acronym for “How You Want It” – feature King Combs (son of Diddy) – it samples Mase and Total’s ‘What You Want.’
Gifted in earnest, Taylor – under the alias Spike Tee – also directed the video.
Watch after the jump…
Hot tamale!
Everything! I love the song and the video. Anything sampling or remaking 90’s early 2000 is an automatic cheat code for me.
Cute BOP but won’t Chart
He looks like a nerd. LOL
Such a weak wack rapper. He is worse than blue face. HAHAHAHA
All these talentless kids of famous celebrities thinking they can be stars. Jaden Smith is the most annoying out of all of them
Teyana u are better than this. How much were u paid to do this feature?
I get that she likes 90s but she tries and bites a so hard thinking this original but it’s not. The only thing good about it is that Puff Daddy son is in it that’s the only thing that makes it cute but other than that it’s already been done.
She is part of the wrong musical generation because shes so underappreciated. She is literally the full package and humble as hell but…
Some song dont need to be touched this was one of them. i love her but ehh
Originality is lacking on this big time.
I get being inspired but danmm do your thang on it not just copy!
song is cool def wont play it on the reg tho! rather the original
she needs to start doing choreographed 8 counts… that will at least give the video some replay value
She is talented should be a bigger star music wise.
Yasss!!!!???
Why he keep sampling all the 90’s hits? You ain’t your pops…It ain’t working.
Awesome video, it also paid homage to LL Cool J’s music video Doing It Wild
She is EVERYTHING! https://youtu.be/oMp58oVociw
This sounds like it’s a TOTAL song or beat. (Too explicit lyrically but I like the beat because I like music from the 90’s)
