It’s fitting, then, that the trailblazer will be presented with the night’s top honor at the 2019 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

In an announcement made moments ago, it was confirmed that Kim will receive the ‘I Am Hip-Hop’ award at the Atlanta ceremony, which airs October 8th.
The Rap icon will also take to the stage at the hotly anticipated event.
Joining her on the bill, it’s been revealed, are Megan Thee Stallion, Chance The Rapper, Rick Ross, Offset and Lil Jon, DaBaby, T-Pain, Rapsody, YBN Cordae Ft. Anderson .Paak., Saweetie, KaMillion, and Tom. G.
Elsewhere, confirmed presenters include Teyana Taylor and Oscar nominee Daniel Kaluuya.
We’ll most definitely be tuned in to the 2019 BET Hip-Hop Awards when it premieres on BET, Oct 8th at 8pm ET.

Gotta give my girl her props! She’s the blueprint for the majority of the ladies in hip hop. Probably the MOST replicated in every way. Say what you want about her skin, plastics, etc but she’s a self-made Queen! When it’s all said and done, she will go down in history as one of the greats in hip hop. Not a fad that had it’s time and the time is up, or some gimmicky trend. And I’m here for it! Can’t wait! Congratulations and Salute to the Queen of Rap!

Kim is the blueprint for the current majority acts of female… except she has a plethora of legendary, classic tracks, looks and pioneered it all. One of a kind. Not everybody has that to their credit. Congrats to Queen Bee, you invented a lane that is still relevant 24 years after your debut- THATS a true legend.
