Little Mix Announce New BBC TV Show ‘The Search’ / Set Out To Form New Band

Published: Friday 18th Oct 2019 by Sam

Little Mix are getting their boss on.

For, having carved out quite the mark on the charts, the Pop quad are looking to build music’s next big band via the vehicle of their own TV show.

Full story below…

Christened ‘Little Mix The Search,’ the series will air Saturday nights on BBC One and see Jesy, Jade, Perrie, and Leigh-Anne form and mentor new groups.

Per a press release, the singers who make it into the bands will live together and gain access to Little Mix’s inner circle, including vocal coaches, songwriters, producers and stylists.

The eventual winners will then join the ladies on the road for their 2020 Summer Tour.

Speaking on the venture, Little Mix (who themselves were formed on ‘The X Factor’) said:

“We want to create lots of incredible groups who really gel. As we have been there and done it ourselves, we know what it takes to make a group successful, and will be there to mentor them every step of the way. We want solo artists to audition as well as groups and every type of genre is welcome too. It’s going to be really exciting and people can apply right now!”

Entry forms are available HERE.

This is such a cool concept.

Because, while the “talent show” format has been done over and over, it hasn’t been helmed by an active group who are actively looking to build another ensemble.

It’s undoubtedly ambitious, but for that very reason has us eager to watch when this premieres in 2020.

Really? This is so stupid. This is the beginning of the end for these girls. They still haven’t broken into the US market after all these years.

Each of them need to go solo, cause the shelf life of girls groups are very short and they usually have limited success the old the members get.

Haven’t broken into US market? FYI their world tours generate more $$$ every year than US album sales. They are literally going to be highest selling girlband of this decade by 2020.

      • truthteller October 19, 2019

Well, it’s not hard to be the biggest selling girl group of the decade when your only competition in the West is Fifth Harmony. Also, I doubt this is true anyway. Japanese groups like AKB48 and Korean ones like Twice have outsold them.

Not everythings bout the US. There are tons of artists out there, who are majorly successful in their regions without going to the US.

      • truthteller October 19, 2019

And that argument would hold some water if Little Mix were successful in another major music market but they aren’t. Apart from the UK, they’ve had some success in Australia and at a stretch the Netherlands and Spain

Jesus if the other shhhhyyyytttteeee shows can’t find any then these bints do not stand a chance at all!

    BYYYYEEES

  3. Camila Ain’t Nothing October 18, 2019

I guess this is the route to take since they’re flopping in the UK too now…

  4. Jay October 18, 2019

Lol I’m lost… they’re not even a big girl group they damn self! Why are they doing this?? ?

    • Haterz Gon‘ Hate October 19, 2019

You should check your facts before you open your mouth. I don’t even stan for these girls but they’ve had singles wise 4 UK Number 1s, 14 UK Top 10s 23 UK Top 40s 8 Weeks at Number 1 – they might be local but they are one of the most well known girl groups in the UK. So WHO are you comparing them to who is a bigger recent (last 5 years) girl group in the UK????? FOH. ?

  5. truthteller October 18, 2019

This is a not good move. The B** has a bad track record with these shows (Fame Academy, Let It Shine, Pitch Battle) and they need to be focusing on their own careers. Their most recent album has sold less than a quarter of their previous one.

This is cool…they’re a dope I don’t get the hate they have hits and have been successful in the UK and parts of Europe! Their idols are Destiny’s Child and En Vogue and vocally they took the blue print of those and made gave us the vocals the old school groups use to do along with harmony.

Such an odd and random project to do. Hope it helps with their world tour promos though.
