Fans of ‘Lover’ singer Taylor Swift weren’t exactly loving the sparse list of dates announced for her forthcoming tour (as we revealed here). Kicking off summer 2020, the worldwide trek only sees her play four dates in her native United States – two on each coast respectively.
Yet, while her supporters – affectionately called #Swifties – increase calls for more opportunities to see their fave crank out her slew of hits, the Grammy winner’s (somewhat) answered courtesy of a free concert in Atlanta.
More inside:
“… the singer announced that she would play a free show in Atlanta on April 5, timed to the end of March Madness.
Swift will headline the Capital One JamFest. The fact that the festival is sponsored by a bank probably explains why admittance will be free (though ticketing details have not yet been revealed).”

Dan Gavitt, Senior Vice President of Basketball at the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), expressed his elation at news of the diva’s inclusion of the annual sports tournament.
“We’re thrilled to have Taylor Swift perform as the headliner for the closing night of the March Madness Music Festival,” Gavitt said in a statement. “This will be one of many great events for fans during Final Four weekend, from the opening of Final Four Fan Fest presented by Capital One on Friday morning, through the semifinals to the National Championship celebration on Monday night.”
Ticket information forthcoming in the coming months. Expect announcements of other big name artists to line the fest’s bill to come as well.
