Harry Styles cranks up the campaign for sophomore album ‘Fine Line’ with the release of new single ‘Adore You’ – the video for which premiered moments ago.
Directed by Dave Meyers, the visual for the funkified drives in a unique direction.
For, while some may have anticipated a dancefloor setting, the whimsical clip plays out in the mythical Isle of Eroda.
The region ignited ample discussion online this week when the site VisitEroda.com surfaced online; and the resulting speculation saw #Eroda and #SailToEroda trend at #1 Worldwide on Twitter.
Watch below to see if the clip lives up to the hype…
Sonically, the song is a bop and ought to earn Styles much more mainstream clout after the stripped back singer-songwriter approach of his self-titled debut.
As for its visual, we’ll always appreciate creative storytelling – even if, like in instances such as this – a more literal (and colorful) effort would have better complimented the track.
In any case, it does a solid service of amplifying our excitement for ‘Fine Line’ – which arrives next Friday (Dec 13th) via Columbia Records.
This feels like the “Liar” video. Too distracting to enjoy.
Harry is also pandering really hard to gays this time around. I don’t think it’s working as good as he thought it would lol
The video is…well, different ? The song is a bop tho, Harry is a snack and I’m here for the album! ??
So is this story of his discovery and getting into music? These guys are each talented but I feel they should have stayed together as a group.
