As we reported here, late October saw music mogul Mathew Knowles stun fans of his former flagship act, Destiny’s Child, when he announced the release of a compilation album featuring unreleased music of the group’s first incarnate, Girl’s Tyme.
A six-member ensemble, Tyme formed in 1990 and featured members from DC’s original lineup (Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Latavia Roberson). After rising to national attention thanks to a loss on the then-wildly popular televised talent show, ‘Star Search,’ the group – after a few personnel and label changes – eventually settled on a new name: Destiny’s Child.
The music they recorded under the stage moniker Girls Tyme was “locked in a vault”…until now. Presented via ‘Destiny’s Child: The Untold Story Presents Girls Tyme,’ the 15-track set was released Monday (December 2) and accompanied by the book, ‘Destiny’s Child: The Untold Story.’

Say what you want, them girls sound better than 5th Harmony. They were like 9-12 years old. They had harmonies and vocals at that young age. I bet their performances were lit, too. Haters, this was how my fave spent her time as a child, which is why she is the most nominated Grammy artist ever. She been grinding since 6 years old! Bye!

TLC didn’t have any Whitney Houston vocalists either SWV ,Xscape En Vogue all put together could sing circles around them they were good but let’s be honest vocal wise they can’t touch Brownstone,Kut Klose ,Jade,702 record sales aren’t everything if it actually went on vocals alone they would be considered average sounding a lot of female groups that could sing better than them may not have reached their heights but it does not mean they couldn’t sing.
