Jennifer Lopez and Shakira brought the heat at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show!
The dynamite divas teamed up for a joint presentation at the Big Game, which took place the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami – and they did not disappoint.
Delivering a set that rotated between solo showings and tag-teaming, the Pop titans blew the proverbial roof off the building with bops such as ‘On The Floor,’ ‘Hips Don’t Lie,’ ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing,’ and ‘Whenever, Wherever.’
As we reported ahead of their performance, they were joined by J Balvin and Bad Bunny. J.Lo also welcomed her 11-year-old daughter Emme to the grandest stage of them all.

I WANTED this too be great. I really did. Jennifer Lopez did 2 second snippets of each song and it was very VEGAS. The lip singing, Vegas old school costumes. Shakira was very s*** and full of energy but her focus should have been HITS HITS HITS and leave the rappers at home they wasted 2 mins. It was CORNY

It was much better than I expected, and that says a lot cause I expected so much!
Both had a great time, were ultra professional, danced like the world was ending and sang great (with playback in the mix of course).

So my 1st thought was this has to be one of the weakest set of halftime performers. But it really progressed as it went on. There was a lot of flavor, both ladies held their own, and neither outshine the other.
This show proved however how lacking both of their catalogs are. I feel like between both of them they struggle to put together a set list with material that people actually remember or care for.
Going forward the NFL needs to select artist who have a wide enough catalog to carry a halftime show. I still feel Pitbull and flo rida would have been better to headline.
And lastly, I know Migenta (is whatever it’s called) isn’t beyonce song but it felt very weird seeing JLO perform that song because I felt it was too beyonce.

That’s the thing…they need to have a mixture of performance type. I am not taking away form either ladies. But there isn’t enough male headliners, especially rappers. This being a Miami halftime, Pitbull and Flo Rida would have been very fitting.
Also say what you want amount Pitbull and Flo Rida but I promise you those 2 together have more memorial catalog, and more U.S hits than Shakira and JLO. And they would have carried that show. Trust and believe. I’m from Florida and nobody there fu**s with JLO or shakira.

Naaa. I always listened to their music and both have bops but showise i think it would have been week shows.
They would call a lot of supporting acts to mask their lack of movement and interaction with the audience. I think it would be a mess.

This was a great production, both ladies played on their strengths and brought it home. Emme is the real vocalist of the family she can definitely give her mama some pointers.
A whole slay! ??? I’m so happy they actually performed together at the end! Little Emme is gonna be a superstar like her mom in the future. They both did their thing. We been known JLo is still a great performer but as a fellow Southern American I’m stoked that Shakira got to show millions of Northern Americans that she still got it ?
Also can we give it up for how freaking amazing these women look. Like seriously. Like how do you look the same 15-20 years into your career?

I had low expectations but it was a total slay. I’m not a Shakira fan and a casual J Lo fan (she has a few bops I go back to) but that was very entertaining and what the halftime show should be. They KILLED it! They both brought uniqueness to the show. I’m so glad J-lo did NOT FOCUS on trying to sing and give us “vocals” THANK GOD ?. She performed her ass off INSTEAD! YES! But Shakira really shocked me though. I knew she was a great dancer but I wasn’t expecting all that! Them hips did NOT lie! ?I loved the whole show! They really showed out especially on behalf of their backgrounds. I know the Latino community is turning up in Miami right now! I’ll be definitely be watching this show again on YouTube ?.

I think they served the purpose of the show, which is offering high energy entertainment. They both fared well, congratulations.
Shakira picking She Wolf as the opening was kind of odd as she’s got much bigger hits in her catalogue.
I also wish they brought some real surprises on the table. Like a duet they would have partially premiered live and release right after.
I’m glad they got to perform together ; I understand they wanted to have their own moment, but they could have pushed the interaction further.
I’m not sure what amount of those vocals were live… maybe at some point they could have slow it down to sing more and do something a little more emotional.
But without overthinking it and watching the show for what it was, it was indeed entertaining and I enjoyed it nonetheless.
These ladies did a great job. I loved the show!!! I dont care about there age. They were phenomenal.
I really love Jennifer, but Shakira showed her up with a more cohesive set. Jennifer looked like she organized things at the last minute.

It’s not the opinions that’s wrong it’s the overthinking it and telling how they would’ve arranged the set/set list that’s annoying. They did what they did and it was amazing. Who did or didn’t show up means nothing now we were given a great show and that’s all.

SHE WOLF is the best song in the whole set.. them rappers are not needed (very lame) but dancing of both ladies was on point.
