‘Life is Good’s shelf life in the Hot 100’s top 10 is showing no signs of expiration thanks to enduring success on streaming and digital download platforms.
The Future tune, which features serial Hip Hop hitmaker Drake, celebrated a #2 premiere on the tally in late January (as we reported here) – a feat accompanied by reports it made Drizzy the first artist in history to score 1oo top 40 hits.
Now, just two months later, the ‘What a Time to be Alive’ duo can not only boast another history-making move on the tally but also a 2x Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Details inside:
“Good” is first song ever to log its first eight weeks on the Hot 100 at No. 2 (after none previously began with more than four weeks at the rank). While the song could still ascend to No. 1, as of now it is one of just 10 entries in the Hot 100’s history to spend as many as eight weeks peaking at No. 2.”

The report above surfaced just a week after the RIAA announced the tune had crossed its threshold for double Platinum certification which denotes sales equivalence of 2 million units shifted.
