With concerns over coronavirus uprooting plans left and right, Sam Smith is one of the first artists to shift a release date for new music.
The British star was set to unwrap third album ‘To Die For’ on May 1st.
Now, it’ll be arriving later than intended.
Preorder links for the project have been refreshed and presently show June 5th.
An official reason hasn’t been provided, but it’s safe to assume that – with almost all promotional platforms off-air due to the COVID-19 outbreak – Smith is hoping a pushback will see the LP land at a time when normality has resumed.
One has to wonder whether other acts will follow-suit.
In the here and now, check out the video for title-track ‘To Die For’ below…
Personally, I dont understand these delays. People are more at home (quarantine or home office) so they have more time to stream your music and are bored af so you could advertise via social media. I personally think it would be a good idea to release new music these days.
its cause they cant promote it as they should…everythings cancelled or postponed. he can release it yea… but cant travel to promote it. So no, awful idea.
Who cares for clasdic Promotion these days? He can promote it via socia Media where he has his core base anyway.
Must partly be fear the title could be too “on the nose” when people are dying of the C*****.
That album cover is so scary
Those ugly nails, ew
Ugly àss fingers.
Sam, what were u thinking
He tries too hard.
He want to be a gay legend so bad, but gays are not checking for him.
They not he
So u check kamilla kabelho?
That album title won’t age well lol
Better changed the album title, coz it cursed!!! “To Live For” is better
I don’t like the title name anyway
I love me Sam Smith. Not feeling this era. I just feel like now it’s all being forced, I get he found himself as a person now and he’s in a happy place. I just think he is trying to become a George Micheal or more like boy George. I think when he first came out he could of been who he wanted to be. I think this time around it’s not gonna be his best work like the other albums.
They not he. At least be respectable to their gender identity
If Sam feels both male and female, s/he should be fine with being addressed as either. “They” is for plurals and since grammar won’t be rewritten for sexual minorities, they’s should be content their pronoun preferences are even taken into considered.
Eww-worthy but SMART cover! Nobody wants to see those scoobydoo ears.
