‘New Rules’ singer Dua Lipa is rewriting the rules on album promotion as she amplifies the push for sophomore set ‘Future Nostalgia.’
The widely-praised project is currently within its first week of release, and is actively weathering the storms of a leak, a subsequent rush roll-out, and the inability to promote in the traditional sense due to the current climate.
As reported, the LP is eyeing a top 5 opening in the US. However, on home soil in the UK, it’s engaged in a fierce battle for the top spot with 5 Seconds Of Summer.
In a bid to give the album a leg-up, Lipa has unveiled a suite of new opportunities for fans that no doubt have a reciprocal rooting.

Taking to social media, the Pop princess advised that those who purchase the LP from her official store will be in for a chance to win a virtual hangout, as well as meet and greet at her forthcoming tour.
“Buy my album from the official store or register to win exclusive prizes including a meet & greet and a virtual hangout.”
We’ll always applaud acts who lean in rather than lean back when it comes to the promotion of their music. So, go Dua!
Tidbit: We’ve had ‘Future Nostalgia’ on replay while on lockdown. Literal Pop bliss. The bops were never ending. Goes to show, cohesive concept albums can still work at a time when many artists approach LP like playlists rather than robust bodies of work.
