Dua Lipa Offers Meet & Greets In Exchange For Album Purchase

Published: Wednesday 1st Apr 2020 by Sam

‘New Rules’ singer Dua Lipa is rewriting the rules on album promotion as she amplifies the push for sophomore set ‘Future Nostalgia.’

The widely-praised project is currently within its first week of release, and is actively weathering the storms of a leak, a subsequent rush roll-out, and the inability to promote in the traditional sense due to the current climate.

As reported, the LP is eyeing a top 5 opening in the US. However, on home soil in the UK, it’s engaged in a fierce battle for the top spot with 5 Seconds Of Summer.

In a bid to give the album a leg-up, Lipa has unveiled a suite of new opportunities for fans that no doubt have a reciprocal rooting.

See what we mean below…

Taking to social media, the Pop princess advised that those who purchase the LP from her official store will be in for a chance to win a virtual hangout, as well as meet and greet at her forthcoming tour.

“Buy my album from the official store or register to win exclusive prizes including a meet & greet and a virtual hangout.”

We’ll always applaud acts who lean in rather than lean back when it comes to the promotion of their music. So, go Dua!

Tidbit: We’ve had ‘Future Nostalgia’ on replay while on lockdown. Literal Pop bliss. The bops were never ending. Goes to show, cohesive concept albums can still work at a time when many artists approach LP like playlists rather than robust bodies of work.

Girl, people are dying and losing their jobs. Not the right time to be asking for this.

    • Haterz Gon‘ Hate April 1, 2020

This is precisely why she should be doing it now. We cannot wallow in eternal shock and fear of our lives forever. The sun has not gone out, the earth is not ending tomorrow. People need normality and something to look forward to while they adjust to the new world. For someone – this will mean everything to them – don’t judge others for trying to move forward with their lives or artists who have the power to bring a smile to a fans face.

When it ALL goes wrong, we still have the music ?

      • Ughhh April 1, 2020

        Lmfao

Gurl, you and Dua can go somewhere. Nobody is saying the sun has gone out.

I’m saying people that would actually do this are probably hmm….14-21 maybe 22 years old, who don’t have salary based jobs and either work hourly, aren’t able to work currently or don’t work at all.

Their parents aren’t paying for this right now. Especially with a tour that’s rescheduled for next year and 5 min FaceTime with a list of restrictions.

Her album was good but it was released during the wrong time. Sorry to her. She will live. Her sun will rise another day.

You and her can have a blessed day. Oh, and wash her hands.

Perhaps you missed the various posts on social media where parents are pulling their hair out because their kids are bored and wining with nothing to do …. ??‍♂️

      • Ughhh April 1, 2020

We are still in quarantine…regardless if you purchase concert tickets and meet and greets, they still can’t go until next year, so they don’t give a damn about purchasing concert tickets right now.

Shut the f**** up, your points are invalid

“We’re not sure whether to applaud the aggressiveness or wince at it. What are…”

TGJ u are the worst people on the planet.
    Biased journalism

U wrote the First paragraph was for dua lipa

U wrote the second paragraph for Camila cabello when she started pulling tricks.

    U are 2 faced hypocrites.

    • HavanaONana April 1, 2020

And Dua is selling 15-18k pure album sales?????

      • Clarks0o0ñ April 1, 2020

        ???.
The really thought this girl was gonna do something.

        Anyways….
At the end of the day Camila still had the last laugh

‘Romance’ has now over 2,2 billion streams on Spotify. This is @Camila_Cabello’s 2nd album to do so.

  5. I love big black c** April 1, 2020

Guess what’s next??? She will spread her legs open just for fans to buying her flopped album. No class!!!!

  6. Clarks0o0ñ April 1, 2020

Where are the folks who usually hype her? Where are they?
You guys are quiet lately, why?
    ????

  7. Clarks0o0ñ April 1, 2020

    Remember this

    Only Facts
    March 30, 2020

I agree. Just look at The Weeknd and Dua pulling big sales. This is the time to drop…

    ???????????????

    Big sales from dua?
    Loool

    A complete lunatic @onlyflops

Twitter hype doesnt translate into sales, when are u guys gonna learn it freaking lesson.
    Remember normani motivation?

    Twitter doesnt buy music

    • Owlhub April 1, 2020

I mean atleast Dua released a solid body of work. I wonder how normani’s debut album will sell first week ( if she ever releases one anyway the label gave up most likely ).

      • Clarks0o0ñ April 1, 2020

This numbers have humbled them, especially normani stans

        Dua has hits
Dua has millions of streams, millions of followers etc but see the numbers she’s doing,

        Normani doesnt have anything
No hit, no spotify listeners, no youtube subscribers, nothing
Normani doesnt even know how to sing.

Just imagine normani’s numbers first week.
        ???

    • Arihanna grande April 1, 2020

At least she has bigger hit than camilla

      • Clarks0o0ñ April 1, 2020

        What bigger hits?

Dua doesnt have a number one song or number one album

Camila has 2 number 1’s and 1 number one album

Havana out streamed all of dua lipa’s discography.

        Be quiet rat

  8. MessyBoots April 1, 2020

Future Nostalgia is a whole mood.

    Every track is pop perfection.

Once this pandemic slows down and she is able to roll out more singles the album’s momentum will hopefully start to build.

  9. AJ April 1, 2020

What a load of bias BS. when other acts have bundled with tours or reduced prices they get shaded. When Dua does it everyone says its genius. She’s overhyped much like Billie Eilish

  10. StarXavi April 1, 2020

i love the album……you can literally play from top to bottom with no skips. Great job girl.
