Monday brings with it the hotly anticipated #VERZUZ battle between R&B groups Jagged Edge and 112.
However, when fans tune in they won’t be seeing certain members of the latter.
Find out why below…
Unbeknownst to some, 112 in their original form have parted ways. And members Daron Jones and Q Parker say so it’s contentious that there’s legal drama involved.
Hence, they will not be participating in the battle.
Their open letter to fans unpacked the situation at hand:
Dear 112 Fans,
Thank you for the outpouring of love and support. It is incredible and we appreciate how much of your heart and souls you have poured into our careers.
We are simply blown away by the passion you have for our music. But unfortunately, we will not be participating in the upcoming Verzuz with Jagged Edge due to an ongoing legal issue that is not settled.
P.S. From our mouth to your hearts, Q and I never quit 112 nor our fans. This is just a fabricated lie and it is not our narrative. In due time, you will receive the true narrative. Until then, we love you and thank you again for your continued support.
112 today is comprised of two original members (Slim and Mike) and a pair of newcomers. Check ’em out:
