Lady Gaga has made an almighty splash with new album ‘Chromatica.’
For, the high-octane LP has opened atop of the Billboard 200.

The set rocketed in at #1, delivering final sales of 274,000 (205,000 of which are traditional units).
‘Chromatica’ is powered by singles ‘Rain On Me (ft. Ariana Grande)’ and ‘Stupid Love’ – which peaked at #1 and #5 on the Hot 100 respectively.
Its chart triumphant was also fuelled by a number of album bundle configurations – including tour tickets and merchandise.
‘Chromatica’ becomes Gaga’s sixth release to top the coveted count.
It also earns the honor of delivering the highest first week opening for a female in 2020.
The project’s Stateside success comes days after it premiered at #1 in the UK.

Way to go! This is like Gaga Anti era. The era that everyone called a flop but she’s turning that right around and making everyone who doubts her eat their f’n words. I hope this album have the longevity that Anti had, because their are plenty stand out records that can be singles and perform well.

Honestly, anti is Rihanna’s worst era. It didn’t even debuted #1 which only sold 15,896 copies on the first week. Shame! Please do not compare gaga with Rihanna. They aren’t on the same level. Gaga is a mega star and Rihanna is a superstar

Everybody expected her to go with the a star is born soundtrack sound (country, soft rock, blues ballad) but she went in the opposite direction.
I didnt like rain on me when it was released but now I love it.

It wasn’t powered by as much merchandise bundles as people think. Her album went on sale on a Friday and then she shut down her website Monday and it didn’t reopen until Saturday. Fans were unable to purchase merchandise or music through her website or third party partners since she chose to acknowledge and support black lives matter. Her success is truly commendable as the only way of purchasing her album was by going into a store like target or Walmart, purchasing it on line or from Spotify, Apple and other streaming companies. Not to mention many states are still in quarantine so, this is a huge achievement for Lady Gaga and a win for the record industry right now.

These are great great sales for her. She even shut her store down for a few days. When you buy merchandise you buy the album with it. Or it comes with it. So it’s still a legit sale. Congratulations to her. She’s doing great. She’s a real artist.
