With the music industry set to go silent tomorrow in a show of support to the #BlackLivesMatter movement, adjustments are being made to the release schedule.
One of the most notable projects impacted is Chloe x Halle‘s sophomore’s album ‘Ungodly Hour.’

Originally set to arrive on June 5th, the Parkwood/Columbia set has been delayed to a future date.
In a statement to The Associated Press on Friday, the group unpacked their belief that the current discourse about racial inequality ought to be everyone’s ultimate priority:
“This week has been very heavy for all of us. We’ve been trying to, not understand, because there’s no way to understand the terrible killings — we just have heavy hearts this week and are just trying to do everything we can to pray and lift each other up with our voices.”
A new date for the ‘Do It’ led LP will be announced in due course.

Beyoncé is doing right by them. They have had opportunities that 99% of new artists wish they had. They also have 100% creative control of their sound and image. Any other label would have dropped them after their album underperformed.
