The latest edition of the Billboard 200 has been unveiled and comes bearing news that the LP opened at #48.
Its sales?
15,000 equivalent units.
The set serves as Alsina’s first in five years and is his premiere indie offering since departing Def Jam.
While the singer has never previously been a blockbuster seller, the numbers represent a steep dip from the 41,000 (#14) launch of 2015’s ‘This Thing Called Life.’
Time will tell if there’s an uptick in sales. Especially in the wake of Jada’s incoming Red Table Talk.
As reported, The Smiths have denied Alsina’s relationship claim, including suggestion that Will Smith gave permission for the alleged union.
